In the US trials the drug, AKA Keytruda, only helped 5% of the patients. I’m glad to see that another study showed better response. There are apparently some mutations that they know are required for the drug to work. I’ll probably be getting a biopsy in the next month or two to check for them.

I am in a similar situation deciding if I do radiation 2.5 yrs after a prostatectomy w Gleason rating 8&9. My first impulse was to go on a cancer diet (no sugar, meat, coffee, alcohol) and try to starve the cancer and boost my immune system so I wouldn’t need radiation. I’ve been rigorously following this diet hoping for a reduced PSA when I retest tomorrow.
Did you consider a cancer diet? I figure it’s better to try this now than to wait till I am desperate if cancer returns again.
