A fellow prostate cancer blogger out of Auckland, New Zealand is looking for a little assistance getting back into music after his diagnosis and treatment have thrown him off his path. If you know of anyone who has had a similar experience, please have them check out his post below. —Dan
Do you know anyone who is a musician with cancer (or in remission) who has struggled like I have to motivate themselves and get back into it?
Hey Dan, thanks so much for sharing my blog. I’ve gone and done something about it by creating a Facebook group. Hope you don’t mind me sharing the link https://www.facebook.com/groups/1819305945017261/ the support which people are giving me is huge. I’ve hardly touched my guitars in he last year since I started radiation and since I started this I have played every day, even if it is only for 5 minutes:) People make so much difference but often they don’t know how or where to start, others suffer and don’t know where to find help. I really appreciate your blog and your sharing. My biggest problem today is fatigue and I have to say I’m a little worried about going back to work on Monday. The drugs they had me on made it worse and I am hardly producing any Cortisol so they took me off them, next oncologist visit in a couple of weeks.

HI Luigi,
Glad to help out and thrilled to hear that you’re taking your first steps forward to get back into the music world. Sorry to hear, however, about the fatigue. I’ll take a look at the Facebook group and spread the word.
All the best. -Dan

Thanks heaps Dan, it’s kind of ironic saying it helps to stay busy when you don’t have the energy:)
Stay strong
